Just back from Spain… here’s my photographs of Palma de Mallorca Cathedral….This video is dedicated to all my friends and subscribers… Enjoy! The Palma Cathedral is the focal point in Mallorca’s Capital city. It was built on top of the ancient city walls of the historic quarter of the Mediterranean island’s capital, in the 13th century, and is essentially Gothic in design. Made golden limestone from the Santanyi quarries and designed in the French Gothic style. The vault is supported of 14 pillars 30 meters high. There are 3 huge aisles, the central have rising to height of 40 meters, the whole building is 121 meter long and 55 meter wide.The doors of the Cathedral, known locally as La Seo are called Mayor, Mirador and Almoina. There are ten bells in the bell-tower, the largest, weighing 6760 kilos, having the name Nieloy.
